The slogans “start drama” and "talk shit" were borne from the 2018 lawsuit against Four Barrel Coffee for sexual harassment and assault. In our lawsuit, we revealed that when employees complained of harassment and assault, we were told not to “start drama” or “talk shit”.

During the lawsuit, we reclaimed those phrases. If starting drama means standing up for yourself and your community, if talking shit means speaking honestly on your experience - then yes. We were starting drama, and we were talking shit.

#CoffeeToo, an organization dedicated to ending sexual harassment in the coffee industry, now creates merch with these slogans on them - to remind us to keep on starting drama and talking shit.

Patches are 2" and priced on a sliding scale. Just choose the price that is comfortable for you. My goal is to make each item as accessible as possible, to folks from all different parts of the coffee industry. Those who are able to pay more make it possible for others to pay less.
Every order is hand-packed with care by me, Umeko, in my bedroom in West Oakland. I usually spend Sundays packing orders, and ship out on Mondays.
Profits from most sales go toward my labor for packing, shipping, admin, design, and writing (check my coffee blog!) - *except* for products labeled Solidarity.
For these items, 100% of profits go to the nonprofit organization named in the product description. All Solidarity items are marked with a 💞.
